Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Shaantel’s Unique Beauty may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 3 / 11 /2018.

CONTRAINDICATIONS TO A TREATMENT 

Some contraindication will require a GP letter of approval before treatments can commence. Some of our treatments use electricity instruments and GP approval is a must before commencing and/or in some cases we are allowed to decline a treatment for a client. 

All treatments have a list of the contraindications for that treatment. Please read carefully before booking. 

At the start of your appointment we will check you over for any contraindications  and ask you a number of questions before a treatment will begin.  

If we feel / believe it is not in your best interest to start/continue your treatment/appointment we have all rights to be able to decline or stop your treatment/appointment at any given time.

Some contraindications are as followed:

• Allergies - nuts, asprin, seafood. Some of our products have seaweed extract in them
• Cancer present or the last 5 years. If so you will need a GP written letter of approval that we can keep. 
• Server Asthma 
• If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol 
• High or low blood pressure - GP letter of approval is needed for some treatments
• Heart conditions
• Recent surgery or and injuries that will prevent you from getting a treatment done.
• Diabetes
• Bacterial, fungal, parasitic and viral   infections 
• Clients with symptoms of infectious disease: fever, runny noses or coughs
• Extreme body temperature 
• Pregnancy 
• Allergies to essential oils 
• Areas exhibiting loss of sensation 
• Fragile skin 
• Inflammation, Rashes, Lumps and tissue changes   
• Recent chemical peels 
• Dysfunction of the nervous system 
• Pacemakers
• Recent scar tissue or skin Trauma 
• Severe Oedema 
• Sprains Epilepsy
• Sensitive Skin
• Migraine sufferers
• Cuts, abrasions, bruising 
• Skin diseases, disorders or infections
• Extreme vascular conditions
• Metal pins or implants

• Skin care routine and products you are using
• Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
• A written doctors approval for treatments we believe needs approval from your GP before proceeding with any treatment. This will be placed into you personal file for record purposes only.

WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER:

The reason we require this information to understand your wants and needs and provide you with the best service that is required for what you are trying to achieve.

THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

• Internal record keeping so we can look back on when needed. 
• We may use the information to improve our services, training or products.
• With the email and mobile you have provided we may occasionally send out promotional emails about specials, new products, new services or other information you may find interesting.
• With the email, phone number you have provide we may contact you 24 hours after your treatment to see if you are happy with the treatment you received and that there was no adverse reaction to any of the products we used during your treatment.

Shaantel’s Unique Beauty website may share links to other websites you may find interest. Once you use these links to leave our site, we do not have any control over their website and other websites. We are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst you are visiting other websites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement valid to the website you are visiting.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:

We will not issue your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so. If you believe that any information you have provided us with is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible. We will correct any information that you think needs changing. 

PRICING POLICY:

All prices are subject to change. Product refunds must be done within 7 days of purchase with original receipt and still at least 70% full. 

Refunds may only be given to the original purchaser. 

REVIEWS/RECOMMENDATIONS:

Shaantel's Unique has the right to be able to post your reviews / feedback on their Business Facebook Page, Business Instagram and Business Website. We will not use your full name only your first name with the review. We will only put your last name with the review if you have asked us to do so.
